SynthID Checker
Inspect supported provenance evidence in an image or audio file. We only report SynthID when an authoritative provider check can verify it.
What this checker can verify
- OpenAI-supported SynthID signals when OpenAI verification is enabled.
- C2PA Content Credentials and readable metadata.
What it cannot verify
- Google production SynthID without an authoritative integration.
- Gemini text watermarking or a universal AI watermark.
How to interpret the result
SynthID is provider-specific. A result is useful only when it comes from a supported verification path, so this checker shows unavailable rather than guessing.
No supported signal detected does not prove a file was created by a human. Metadata and credentials can be removed by screenshots, exports, editing, compression, or unsupported services.
Frequently asked questions
Can this detect every SynthID watermark?
No. Provider-controlled watermark systems need a supported authoritative verification path.
Does no signal mean human-created?
No. It only means the completed checks found no supported signal.
